I didn’t actually plan on posting another video for this entry, but I’ve just listened to this and feel like sharing it.

I’m still not really sure how I feel about it; it’s either brilliant or fucking terrible. There was definitely an uncomfortable moment when Rivers first sang “What’s that?” though.

It did remind me how much I absolutely love Paranoid Android, and Radiohead in general in their The Bends/OK Computer days. I’ve barely listened to anything by them since I first heard Kid A and hated it, but that was a long time ago – I will make it my mission next week to listen to them.

Weezer, on the other hand, are a band that confuse me; The Blue Album was great, Pinkerton was enjoyable, but everything since was mostly horrific. I don’t dislike them, but their success mystifies me; anything that doesn’t have an upbeat, catchy chorus is often plodding and dull, and the cheerful songs are often generic. Basically, I’ll never listen to them unless it’s The Blue Album, or someone else puts them on.

That said, they’re absolutely nothing alike, so this is kind of meaningless. I’m going to sit and refresh YouTube until Thom Yorke’s cover of ‘Say It Ain’t So’ gets uploaded. Come on, Thom.
