A new home. Again

It’s not even half way through the year yet, but I’ve moved this blog twice. Impressed? Of course you are. Though this will definitely be a permanent move, since I had to buy the domain. I’m not made of money. I don’t remember if I posted it here before or not, but the main reason I wanted the domain is because I plan on building my own theme for the site at some point and, unfortunately, that isn’t allowed on WordPress.com blogs.

So, the plan was to buy howigotsobitter.co.uk when we had a bit more cash, but I awoke this morning to an email from my brilliant web host explaining that domains were only $5 a year for this month only, so I thought it would be rude not to. I normally pay £12 every two years for a .co.uk domain, and it’s double that for .com, so it’s a good saving. See? Rude not to.

I have no idea when I’ll get around to actually designing it, mind; I’ve spent a lot of time over the last two days rebuilding an old site, before I get finish another site I started ages ago. Neither of these are actually paying, but there’s a good chance a paying job will follow, so that’s a fairly substantial distraction. Oh yeah, then there’s the blog design I promised to someone on Twitter.

To be honest, if I carry on working at the pace I am it’ll only take me about a month to get all that done. It won’t, obviously, but still…I can dream. Anyway, I’m going to leave this entry as it is because it’s even boring me, also I need to actually mess about with the site to get everything working properly. Busy, busy, busy.
