It’s come to my attention that during the last week of June and the first week of July I’ll be in France without internet access. It’s a sorry state of affairs that beyond the initial excitement of getting to stay in an absolutely amazing house in the south of France, the first thing that occurred to me was that I’d be missing two weeks of this while One a Day thing.

I considered updating using my phone, but I’m fairly sure that two weeks of that would be obscenely expensive, and as much as I love the challenge of completing an entry a day, I’m not sure I’m that eager. I am still keen on updating as often as possible, but I may add a few photo or video entries along the way. Maybe if I’m not updating as regularly the quality will increase*.

You can’t be mad anyway, because I spent the vast majority of today working hard on a website I should have finished ages ago. I’ve already written more than last year, and I’ve done much less procrastinating than I normally do, just like I said.

I will leave you with this, as it made me grin like a fucking idiot:

* It won’t.

  1. Write them in advance and queue them up. Tis what I’ve done a few times. Or just do them a day or two late, if you’re feeling frisky.

    I think as long as it’s not a regular thing then it’s fine. It’s when you get into the mentality of ‘oh, I’ll just do it tomorrow’ for no good reason that things go a bit Scranton K.

    1. I was just going to suggest what Ian did. Spend a few weeks building up to the trip writing an extra post a day, but not publishing it, then schedule them to go up while you’re gone – WE NEVER WOULD HAVE KNOWN IF YOU HADN’T TOLD US! 🙂
